CLK 430 Stalling
Hello All,
Maybe someone has experienced the same problem.
I pulled into my driveway...turned the engine off. NO PROBLEMS.
I come out, and when I start the car, it revs to 5k RPM and then stops! I got a low oil light indicator..however, when I went to check the add status (in the manual), the oil level came back OK.
I waited 10 more minutes and the car was fine. No overheating problems are anything. I have not experienced any more problems.
oh, BTW, no further errors were given other than the low oil warning. I did not add anymore...should I?
Have I encountered a safety cutoff or something? Is there a faulty oil level sensor? HELP!
Thanks.

Its realy not that hard to do. I forgot haw much is charged to do the job. The sensor just goes bad after a while, I've hasd new cars that have bad oil level sensors on them.
It just depend, if you check you oil then you'll be ok. It's more like a idot light, but tis still good to have.

I have the same problem, but no oil sensor. Stop the car, turns off no problem, then I turn it on, and same thing, 5k and it shuts off. Does it 2, sometimes 3 times. The dash lights up as if I turn the key to acc. What gives?

I know for a fact, that I didn't rev the car to 5k, it went on its own when starting. Hey genius, you have no idea who these people are, don't make assumptions. When you assume, it makes an *** out of you and you!
Yeah I jammed the gas pedal till it hit 5k and turned off. ARE YOU KIDDING!!!
