CLK 230K H&R too low ride. Help Please!!!
Hi Guys,
I have a very strange problem with my car. I ordered H&R Springs from Germany with 40mm drop all around specifically for W208 230K Coupe. The car literally became extremely low and front tires will hit fender and inner lining and the exhaust hits speed bumps. Its not drivable. Rear Tires hit inner lining as well on high bumps.
I added a 1 inch rubber on top of the front spring pad which is a PAD#4, and the rear springs have Pad#2.
My Wheel and Tires are:
Front: 18x8.5 ET35 Wheel + 225/40/18
Rear: 18x9.5 ET35 Wheel + 245/40/18
I am not sure what is wrong.
Also what is the standard height of the car. How to measure it.
I didnt want the drop to be bad, just wanted better handling as my old oem springs are old and car was not even on all sides therefore changed to H&R Springs.
Please advise.

If you wanted no drop just replacement springs you probably should not have gone with 40mm lowering springs. You will have to order the largest spring pads to raise you up and even then it may still sit lower than what you would like.
