Alternator/Voltage Regulator

I have a 2002 CLK 430, is it possible to change the voltage regulator without removing the alternator? and is there a jacking point under the front for a trolly jack? any help or pics would be great.

Here's a DIY that MarcusF, a long time MBWorld W208 contributor, put together.

On my CLK230 you can change the voltage regulator without removing the alternator, you need to work completly under the engine but its very accessible and didnt take long.
I took my regulator off to change the brushes then put it back on again.
