on friday night I was coming off the highway in my 01 clk430 (black on black). i guess i wasn't paying attention to the road cuz i was checking to merge. and i noticed there were no cars on the road so i kept on going and i hit this car that was stoped there. (maybe he can't see that it's safe to merge??)

aawww my front end is busted! fender, bumper headlights. This shop qoute me 17hundred just for the amg bumper. total will come close to 3 grand. you guys think there is another way out? oh ya my car was not fully insurence thats why. shouldn't of save that 400 bucks.

so you guys have anyother way out? aftermarket bumper? i like the lorinser bumper, can i install that instead? or other alternate route?

check ebay, if you dont mind the replica stuff you can get some okay stuff. Otherwise, if you want a custom look then go after market or stick and get amg. sorry about the accident bro.

oh ya guys i notice on ebay they only sell the bumper cover. im not sure if i need to replace the metal part of it or not. what else do i need to change?

I am a financial consultant... in regards to the damage to more than the front bumper I would take it to a trusted mechanic(oxymoron) and have them put it on a rack and see what the extent of the damage is.

the Lorinser DTM bumper retails for about $2100 JUST for the bumper... that doesn't include primer/paint/install... oh, the $400 foglights are also separate....

oh yeah, considering the list of damage you mentioned... $3k for everything sounds more than reasonable...

you should never skim on the insurance...

lol no accident in TEN YEARS!! i guess i broke the streak of it . let's see if i can last the next 20 years lol. oh ya the total i got qouted was actually 3500 for everything. everything is cool just 1700 for the amg bumper compare to 320 bumper is only 400 bucks. i guess i can live with that lol.

so im considering a add on lip. i started another tread on it and the product was crap lol.

hmm... i don't think the CLK bumper is only $400...

the CLK320 bumper comes in like 3 or 4 pieces, and of which, maybe 1 of them may be $400, but the whole setup should run a little more than that... I don't think you want to downgrade yourself to getting a CLK320 body kit...

if you into getting a new bumper at a good price... contact steve, A.K.A., EuroPimp - A.K.A. MBenzNL (user name)... i think (don't quote me), he sells them for $650 or so... pre-painted, ready for install...

well what happen was the shop first only wanted 2200 for everything until he noticed the amg package on the car. (no duh it's a 430!) he is barely charging any labor. so he showed me the cost of the amg bumper benz qoute him. was 1700. so he wanted to add another 1300 on to the 2200 so it's 3500 now. i guess the 320 bumper was only 400 where ever he is getting it from.

ofcourse i won't go for the 320 lol. i didn't know he was putting them on until he told me he want more $$$!
