Question about low speed turn
When I am driving my 430 at slow speed with the wheel all the way to one side or the other, My front end sort of jumps and feels real strange. It is almost like when I have my truck in 4 wheel drive. It is only noticable at slow speeds, like when you have to make a tight turn for a parking space, The car has never been wrecked, any suggestions? Thanks

My car has been acting the same way lately.
I would realy like to know what is causing this problem.
I have brougth it to 2 diferent mechanics yet none of them could find any thing wrong.
On mine it feels like it is only the right side that jumps

I don't know about you guys but I figured out why mine does this. I have 19" wheels with Pirelli tires......when they are cold ie outside temp less than 45 they will jump over small pebbles. After 2 miles going down the road they don't do it anymore.
That is what I've found, but if you have stock 17's who knows I never had it happen with stock tires.

Have the same problem with 18's. Its as though MB purposely sets up their car so you can't mod it. I put the factory 17's back on and it stopped. Put the 18's on and it does it until they get warm. I did notice that it only does it below 45 as well. I think it has to do with the weight ratio is 60 / 40 front / rear. The car tends to push through turns, instead of rounding them.

I may have a solution to the problem.
I spoke to a man how had the same problem with his CLK
I dont know what you call it in th US When the front settup is wrong so that the car tend to go either right or left or when the wheels have to much or little to in/out.
This was the cause to his problem.
I am gona take mine to the wheel shop and have them take a look at it.
I will get back with the results

Its called camber, and I had mine checked. It was fine, and they didn't really need to adjust it. However, it still does it due to the way the tires are positioned when in a turn. The tires are angled, and yes camber can affect that, but it also has a lot to do with the wheels / rubber and suspension.
