1999-2000 brake switch

Howdy folks

I wanted to check and see if anyone has seen a thread about refurbing our brake switches

This is something I just completed on my 1999 and 2000 clk 430's

When I was researching symptoms and reading threads, I never saw any details about refurbing it.

If it hasn't been done before I would be willing to put something together to detail the procedure, just didn't want to duplicate any info if it's already here

Thanks

I'm all for saving money but not sure if I would want to have to remove the switch then refurb and then re-install as the cost is only about $15 from the dealer is it worth it?

ok then,

just a fyi for anyone interested, it takes less than 5 min to clean the points inside after you remove it from the car,

takes me longer to drive to dealer to get new switch, so for me it was much easier

You can post your work, diy information sharing is the purpose of the forum. But A1EK is correct as the with the cost most members including myself just purchased a replacement.
