CLK 430 harsh ride looking for help
What can be done to soften the harsh ride on a CLK 430. The car is my daily driver, no track use or autocross, and the ride seems to be getting worse in the Atlanta area. I realize it has a sport suspension but every bump sends jarring shock though the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How long have you had your 430?? does it have the stock springs and shocks or were these changed out?
The V8's 17" wheel/tire package does make the CLK ride harder.
The 16" wheel setup on the 320 is much more compliant...the v6 and v8 use the same springs, shocks, etc.

Spring Pad
Good thought, what # comes stock with the car ? or is there a way to check it on the car. I assume the stock pads are relatively easy to get via any MB parts place.

I assume you mean your car has an optional "sport" suspension. If you want a softer ride, you need to find a set of non sport springs and buy a set of Koni adjustable yellows. I just ordered these shocks from Tire Rack $400.00 all four.
