OBD2 port on my CLK 200 (2000 model)
As the title suggests, I have trouble finding the OBD2 port to install the sensor I bought recently. I looked under the steering wheel, next to the handle that opens the hood/bonnet and there is indeed a small cover that could house the connector for the OBD2, but I can't open it for the life of me.
I'm not sure if you can indeed open it but it's jammed, or just that some models of that line of models had this but not mine and just covered the existing hole.

You can buy an adaptor for your car that will allow you to connect your OBD2, but you may need to remove the housing cover to get it to plug in fully. If you look on the right side back of the engine there is black plastic cover, the round multipin plug should be in there.

Yeah, on a closer inspection the cover under the wheel is no cover at all. It is shaped like one, but it only engraved doesn't open. I found the round multipin connector in the engine and with an adapter I will still be able to use OBD2 for diagnostics, but still, I would prefer have it connected all the time and with this solution, this is not an option.
