Oh yeah...I hope you go with the 20%, I really like how it looks with my silver clk and so far (knock on wood) I have not been stopped by the cops

Tint % is dictated by statute in each state. For example...in GA I cannot go darker than 35% all the way around. Tint in Trucks and SUV's may be darker, and if you have a medical condition you can get a waiver for darker tint....hint hint.... but you need a doctor's note/prescription.

I thought about getting the MD note for my C240, but like the look of 35% all around...and I like seeing at night.

I suppose some shops will do darker if you want and sign a waiver acknowledging that the tint is illegal, but why risk the ticket? Enought folks on this Forum have been stopped and had to remove their tint and replace it with legal tint.

My .02...do it once and avoid the tickets.

this sucks cause I really like the 20% but I have a little problem with the NYPD so I dont know if I should just do 35% but for that it almost seems like a waste of money

I called Lorenzo tinting in Yonkers and he told me $300 for the CLK ??? Isnt that too much for a coupe ???

this sucks I think im going 20% and not drive too much

$300? Thats too much unless it includes the front shield. I think I paid $180 for 20% all around and $60 for my windshield with very high quality tint and an unlimited lifetime warranty. Try mobile universe in bay ridge.

Quote I got for lifetime tint (w/ moleskin applied to rollers) is 235.00 for 35% on all but front winshield (only allowed 4 inch strip in GA on windshield - and I hate that Ricer look ).

I like the 35%, but that is just me. Admittedly, the 20% looks awesome - better than 35%, but I dont wanna get stopped and have to remove it and spend another 235.00 to re-tint my windows.

Let us know what you do and post photos...

That is a little pricey, I had mine done for $200 with a high quality ,lifetime warranty film and IMHO it looks pretty good

I would shop around
