Eisenmann exhaust
(I have a picture, but I dont know how to attach it)
THanks,

For those who have the race Eisenmann exhaust, do you guys have a dent on the pipe when you first received it from eisenhaus? I bought the exhaust privately and was told that the dent came from the factory and was meant to give clearance. Was that true?

hahahaha you are too funny!! I just used it cuz it looks cool....lemme go change it just for you danny!
I can't wait to get my brakes on...
btw, what kind of light setup are you thinking abouting going with next???

Solihin- Sorry for hijacking ur thread... but yeah, i think my exhaust had a dent in it also... looks factory, not something from shipping
Hey Jeremy, upon closer inspection of your signature... are those major rub marks on your axle/control arm ?????

You need to put the brakes on! I just put the stainless lines on sunday and they just make it that much better. It feels so solid like I can stop from any speed in 10 ft hahaha

no problem man.... :-)
I think I am going to install the exhaust this week. My mechanic charges me about 2 hours.
hey, danny, let me know when you have installed the brakes. Im thinking of upgrading to AMG brakes too, but I am still waiting for the front brakes to wear out. So, it allows me some more time to save up some money. LOL
Guys, correct me if Im wrong, but dont the stainless steel brake lines only have effect only when you are braking really hard (like on the track)?
Thanks,
Solihin

Yeah, my advisor told me my brakes have maybe 5-600 miles left, so i'm just waiting for it to expire, then the AMGs go on...

stainless braided lines help when you brake more or brake hard... it helps prevent faded/mushy brake pedal feel.... its a worthy investment if you drive your car hard... but at the same time, you can't put a price tag on safety... if a $100 set of lines will help your car stop quicker, then its worth the money.... Jeremy was considering selling me his set of SS lines, but, i didn't jump on it, so he kept it for himself....
Lou-
have you had time to check on the shipping charge yet?
For $100, I may get the SS lines since I will be changing the brakes. So, when you got your brake kits, does it already have what you need (brake pads)?
WOwww... I already told that mechanic the muffler installation is going to be very easy but he said it is not as easy as I thought it would be. He also mentioned that he might have to bent this bla bla bla and he gave an approx. time between 1 hour or 2 hours.
Do you think a regular muffler shop would be able to install this?
Lou, when I got mine, the seller didn't box the whole thing (muffler and pipe), I think you only need to box the muffler.
Thanks,
Solihin
MUUUUHAAAAAHAAAAAA
I got my sway bars about a year ago, but I haven;t got the time to have someone install them.
Thanks,
Solihin
Cilky, on the AMG brakes close up pic, is that an amg sway bar (black) you have there? I forgot who it is, but are you the one who already has the H&R, Koni, and eibach sway bar and still you are not satisfied with the handling?

On the exhaust take it to any muffler shop you don't need to bend anything. They will cut the old exhaust off then put the new one on. Shouldn't cost more than $50.00!!

No they are stock sway bars......I have H&R/Bilstein's and they are good but I would like to put some sway bars on at some point. You can install the sway bars yourself in an hour. They are not hard at all to put on.

I will try to negotiate with that mech and see if he could give me maybe around $50.

Went to UPS today and asked about how much...they said depends on the size of the box cause its gonna be of irregular form. Need to find a box big enough to fit and measure to be precise. If I do all of this you better buy it from me
I don't suspect the price to be too far off from that.
LOL Danny, I tried my best to use that safety reason to my girlfriend all the time when I want to modify my car like brakes, wheels and suspensions (controls?), but she didn;t buy that. :-)

your mechanic is blowing smoke... just tell him it is a DIRECT BOLT ON... he just needs to cut the old pipe, and slide this one in, then CLAMP it tight or WELD it (optional)... this exhaust is designed SPECIFICALLY for the CLK, so it needs NO modifications to make it fit...
I took my car to a regular muffler shop... took them 15-20 min, the exhaust went on and I was outta there... best $25 ever spent...
