clk430 ???question???.¿¿ about radiator and the lines conected to it..

hi.,,, this is my first mercedes... i have an 02 clk430 convertible... it has a lot of issues but i plan on takin on the chalenge lol..
today sat nov 5 2016
i changed my radiator and radiator fan...
there is 2 lines tht bolt on the front of the radiator... those are metal lines..... they run some kind of oil in them.....
i messed up... and didnt place the washer back on one of them.., and when i test drove the car i lost close to 1/2 quart tops......
what kind of fluid did i lose?.
and should i stop driving the car until i refill it?
also? how many whashers does each bolt need? just 1 each?
please help me... very much appreciate it

All cars with automatic transmissions have a transmission fluid cooler in the bottom of the radiator. So you lost transmission fluid. Make sure you get the correct fluid or you will be changing the transmission next.

thanks for the reply... i did refill tranny w valvoline max full syn tranny fluid... it work good.... only problem i had is tht the radiator shift and caused it to hit my fan.... made a hole on radiator and busted some of the blade..... i need to get another radiator now and put it back and make sure this time eveything is nice n tight...this car i got on a trade and it has alot of issues....
like when drivin the abs light comes on and the gear u r in its the one your car stays on.... after u restart car works normzl... it does it on n off... its 2 lights tht come on whe. it happens.. the onther one is eps or something like it..? any help will b great

Is this the one you're referring to? That's the power steering fluid line. Your power steering only needs less than a quart/litre. Since you already lost half of it, might as well drain the rest and refill with fresh fluid. You'll most likely never touch it again.

About your transmission. You do have the correct dipstick right? If not, the refill you did might be an overfill in reality and that's really bad. Check the fluid and correct if necessary. Do you know the correct the procedure to check the transmission fluid?

About the ABS/ESP light. Lots of things can go wrong with these. I can only speculate, since I never work on my brakes myself, but once properly diagnosed, many are easy "do it yourself" fixes. Get a reputable mechanic with a STAR Diagnosis tool to check it, and you'd most likely be able to fix it yourself.
