So, while I was trying to figure out the leak I had in the roof system I spent quite a lot of time ripping the car apart just to see the fluid level.
I bought this cellphone friendly 5 meter USB endoscope camera with LED lights from Ebay, it was 17 Euros including shipping.
So now I only need to push it in through the little hole at the back of the trunk and I see the fluid level and any signs of leaks. it also came with a magnet and a little hook to pick up stuff. I wish I had it before, the number of times I have dropped a bolt or something into some dark abyss of the car.
5m is long enough that I can operate the roof from the driver's seat and monitor the fluid level. Or one could fix the camera in place and route the cable to the arm rest area.
Note: not all callulars are compatible with usb cameras, most Androids are. Mine is a Note 3.
