Question Wheel Size vs. Speedometer Accuracy

What are the biggest size wheels you can throw on a w208 w/out affecting the performance of the speedometer and/or odometer?

Sorry, but unless the aftermarket wheels and tires are the exact same diameter as the stock setup than your speedometer reading is always going to be off.

Here's a nice calculator to see how fast you're really going...

as long as the overall diameter of the new tires are the same as the OE wheels, you shouldn't have any problems.

My car is 1/4" taller with the 18's than with the 17's, my original tires where 25" in diameter, the new ones are 25.4" That means that my car will be slower 0-60, but faster at high speed. I will change spring pads to compensate for the height.

Actually, it's only the wheel height that becomes a factor in speedometer reading and actual speed variations.

Sorry, but that's not correct, ie. if you put a 245/40-18 tire, the overall diameter will be greater than a 235/40-18, therefore the car with the bigger tire will be slower 0-60.
