Transmission question
Why does the "s" and "w" drive modes feel exactly the same. isnt the "s" mode suppose to start in 1st gear and the "w" mode start in 3rd?

If you are in W[inter] mode and you launch just moderately hard, when you press more on the accelerator pedal, you'll realize that you started in 2nd as your CLK downshifts to 1st gear.
That's actually how I usually realize that I accidentally put the car in W. (I wish they'd used a sliding switch that wasn't so easy to bump.)
Oh yeah, and if you're not good at launching and want a pretty decent launch w/o spinning the tires, just put it in W.
