Convertible top issue PLEASE HELP & THANKS
Anoyher issue is the local auto parts stores ont sell 02616 anyone know whete else i can get that same day??? But any and all info will help not sure how to reiniciate system after i put new fluid in. Or what to do? How to troubleshoot. I did turn the screw in the cone to the left to get rid of pressure, like i saw in a video. But im lost can anyone please help..

Specifically, the controller has a watchdog timer, that shuts off power to the motor when a specified time limit occurs, such as when power roof operation becomes stuck. Because an owner may continue trying to operate the power roof, before the motor cools down, the motor also has a thermo-couple circuit that should stop further motor operation when a specific temperature threshold is exceeded.
Despite these safeguards, pump motors can and have failed. When this occurs, usually because the factory thermo-couple threshold specification was to to high, they can be rebuilt. As mentioned numerous times, when Top Hydraulics performs this service, they also install a thermo-couple with a more appropriate threshold, to prevent a failure re-occurrence.
The red light s blinking the trunk wouldnt open without the manual key. But if i open the roof latch by the interior overhead ights the windows go down. Ok please help what do i test what do i check? Also i think yhe leak s uptop becsuse the 3 or 4 hoses are soaked with fluid.
When the soft top is not properly locked, to prevent the soft top cover and trunk lids from colliding, the trunk can not be opened with the central locking system (e.g. the center console switch or fob). There are numerous existing forum threads that explain how to open the trunk using the mechanical key.
As with a water leak, the route cause of the leak vs. where the water finally appears, can be very different.
Given that your fluid reservoir is empty, you either have a significant hydraulic leak somewhere or have drained it with repeated attempts to operate the power roof.
Given what you have observed, dollars to donuts, you likely have either a case cover or rear bow leaking cylinder(s). Given the the pooling of fluid in the trunk, I would visually inspect both (e.g. specially the rear bow locking cylinder).

Using the forum search is your friend. Here is one of many prior threads and in particular, post #8.

Via further visual inspection, I would suggest determining the source and cause of the leak before just adding more fluid.

What you need to check is that the pump motor operates when you activate the power roof console switch.
The motor can be checked by placing your finger tips on the motor while someone turns the roof switch on and off. You should feel a slight kick and/or vibration as the motor starts/stops and spins. In one step, this simple test will provide information regarding the condition of the motor, it's starting relay and the 40 amp fuse circuit.
An empty fluid reservoir definitely indicates that your hydraulic system has a leak.
Did you remove the carpeting and check the rear bow lock cylinder for dampness? If it's dry as a bone, check for faulty hydraulic lines and connections. In particular at the soft top case cover hinge, that has been know to break due to kinking / flexing.
Enclosed is a .pdf document that describes the stages of roof operation. Understanding the stage of operation where the power roof fails, can help diagnose and trouble shoot the problem.
From what you have described so far, I believe your problem has to do with stage 3 requirement....specifically, that the soft top bow lock cylinder is not unlocking/releasing your rear rear bow.
