Driver seat problem
Hi,
Again same CLK230komp.
For the last 1.5 years the drivers seat has been faulty.
They have changed the following and the seat still stops working:
1- Fuse
2- Switches
3- Seats machine (motor)
4- Control unit
5- Few cables
After they change anything it works for 2 days max then stops. My friend is tall and it stops working at a very close range to the steering and pedals that its NOT drivable.
Your inputs are really needed. The car is now at the service center and they are trying to figure out the problem. They have found that the Control Unit it burned/faulty again.. The mechanic seems clueless. Its not the unit thats causing the major problem. There is something caused it to stop working.

I could be wrong here, but is there such a thing as a multimeter that records data? Why not hook one up, (if they make one) in- line and monitor all of the voltage over the two day period and see what happens. Maybe there is something causing a surge or drop in voltage.
