Compression lowering & Kleemann question

Hey Guys I was just wondering that if you placed a thicker head gasket in the engines of the CLK. Could you in theory get a smaller pulley for the Kleeman supercharger and develop even more power out of the system without detonation. I'm sure there are other aspects involved with fuel delivery and other stuff. I was just wondering if that was possible.

Thumbs down Incorrect method

While some other tuners do use this "mickey mouse" method to lower compression, it is by no means an appropriate shortcut. The only way to properly lower cylinder compression is by having a custom set of low-comp pistons installed to ensure proper squish area between the cylinder head and piston. A thicker head gasket upsets this crucial squish area, leading to decreased efficiency and in some cases can lead to detonation or worse, a blown head gasket. The Kleemann kompressor makes more than enough power with it's designated boost levels on stock compression. Besides, more boost, will only make it harder for your car to leave off the line...the goal is to leave, not spin tires for 100ft (although this can prove to be a lot of fun ).
