Kleeman Pulley...what is it?
I've read a reference to a Kleeman Pulley upgrade in a couple of the posts...what is it....how much does it cost, who installs it and what gains are realized. Thanks, I have a 2000 430 coupe.

The pulley kit is for the M111 Mercedes 4 cylinder engines (230K models) equipped with a factory kompressor. The kit replaces the factory kompressor pulley to create more boost pressure and thus more HP/Torque.

Out Of Control!!
Here's a better idea of what the Kleemann Pulley kit can do to a factory supercharged engine:

It's an old racer's trick. Don't get me wrong, it works. You are just changing the ratio of the wheels which might mean a differrent belt (though usually there is adjustment in the belt bracket). The Pontiac GTP / Ford Lightning guys go for the pully swap a lot - just spins the blower faster = more boost = more hp!
Same thing goes for your accessories (power steering, altenator, waterpump, etc). "Underdrive Pulleys" spin your accessories slower reducing parasitic hp loss on the crank. You just have to be sure that everyhting still runs within the needed tolerances or you could have a dead battery, or a water pump that cavitates. I have had them on my Nissan for years- http://www.se-r.net/engine/unorthodo...eys/index.html

I know EvoSport has them for BMWs (as I read in European car - way to go Simon!)
