W208 cabrio windows wont roll up after resync
i have 2002 clk 430 convertible and i havent been able to roll my windows up fully after a dead battery. ive tried to do the resync of the windows and it just rolls up to the top then comes down a couple of inches. ive read and tried resync to no avail and cant use my car for over yr now. any help would be appreciated, at this point i dont know what to do.

i just did this. i put in a new driver side window regulator. you only have 1 shot after you put your battery back on, or you just disconnect battery again. with the key in the second position you push window switches up, but not to the auto up, and you hold it for 5 seconds at the top. repeat to the bottom, and then auto up and auto down the same way. hope it helps.

For our cabriolets, make sure that when you perform the window resynch, the roof is up and the doors are closed.
Otherwise; the travel limits won't be properly set and as a result, when raising the windows, they will think it hit an obstruction and drop several inches (it's a built in safety feature).
