Question Clarion VRX925VD

This msg might be a repeat to some of you but had to ask anyway. I am thinking about getting Clarion VRX925VD for my CLK55 and I do not wanna change my factory speakers. I don't mind losing the steering wheel controls but the local shop I went to told me that I'll need to get new speakers and basically whole new system since this is fiber optic cables. Please let me know what are my options? Is the shop right? Because then I'm looking at double the price to get all the work done. To me, current speakers sounds jsut fine for 1-2 hours a day drive during just the summer time.

Thanks

Hey aku111,

I was told the very same thing from a local stereo shop.
It just sounds like a big waste. Does that mean the factory radio and speakers are trash too?

You don't have to change your factory speaker, unless you want really good sound. I have aftermarket head unit, amplifier, and subwoofer without changing the speaker.

I am an authorized a/d/s dealer, so if I can be of any help with a/d/s parts, let me know. Our Imola Red M3 was featured in the a/d/s booth last year at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show).

2018 E400 COUPE SOLD -> Porsche Taycan 4S
not to be a smart *** or anything, but why would you invest all that money into your system and NOT change the speakers.... isnt that the one thing that can improve sound quality the most in your car???
