200 clk320
clk320 badge location

I have a 2000 sclk320 with the 320 badge to the right of my
license plate. on some cars i see the badge to the left. I assume
that mercedes switched the sides to differentiate the years.
does anyone know from 99-2003 which side the badge was on?
also just went from a bmw 740il to the clk 320. there is no comparison.
the mercedes is far superior and a much more fun automobile to drive. the lines of the 99-2003 are outstanding . i am still
deciding if i like the 2004 changes.
I just found this board today. Its good to have a place to ask questions.
My son also has a 2001 slk320.
thanks in advance for any imput.

I am by no means an expert... there are many people here that know more than I do (like... everyone ).... but, I think the model badges are always on the left.

I have not seen a CLK with the model badge on the right. Ever.

I also believe that the model and displacement badges are always on the left. The right side is usually occupied by tuners. ?Did you buy it used?If so then the previous owner could have switched it for some reason. Maybe an accident?

All the CLKs I've seen had the badges on the left also. Maybe the owner before you wanted to switch things up a little.

Welcome to MBWorld. Yes, the badge is supposed to be on the left.

I have 2000 CLK as well and mine is on the left. I haven't seen any Benz with their engine badge on the right side.

Did you buy it new? If not then I would switch it back to left side.
