Best uses for the CLK trunk?
I have had my CLK for exactly 1 month now, and I love it more than any vehicle I've ever owned.
I find the enthusiastic nature of the trunk opening amusing.
Here are two ideas on useful applications for the CLK trunk:
1) Cat Vaulting - Lurk in the bushes for the offending feline to hop on your car, wait for it to reach the trunk, and.... WHAM ...vault the little bugger onto the roof of your home.
2) Gas Station Amusement - Go full service, wait for the attendant to walk behind the car, then cold**** him with your secret trunk weapon. Try not to be observed by others when executing this manuever.
Not particularly productive ideas I suppose. Perhaps someone else has a few more?

CLK, X5
"mine breaks the sound barrier when it opens" hahaha. Yah, i'm not sure what i like more the mono-blade winshiled wiper or the catapult trunk.... I guess you could cat fling, but the sheer speed of the trunk would probably send them at your back windshield (not enough arch).

If you take off/undo the trunk interior side panel (ie- pull the trunk liner out near the bulb change access for tail lights, the liner is just "pressure clipped" in) you will expose the trunk springs (one on each side BTW). You can adjust the trunk opening speed by moving the spring to a lower "hook". I did it an it only took a few minutes..........

Strictly looking at the physics of it, the monowiper appears to generate enough force to actually splice the cat in half.. more like a bunt than a line drive.

Mercedes CLK
To go along with the trunk!
This is the next option I'm buying for my CLK.

It takes a second to load, so be patient, but it's worth it!
