H7 lights

I have a question on H7 replacing the stock headlights of my 320. I heard that when using the H7s, there is a chance you'd burn out the fog lights, or even the others. Is that true?
I already ordered them a week ago...Can anyone help?

I've used H7s on the low beam from a variety of manufacturers. No problems so far with my fog lights or any other lights. Had PIAA Xtreme whites for nearly 2 years. PIAA spark blue for a few months (they blew out, but the rest of my lights were ok).

I have the H7's in the High beams. Fogs I didn't do due to the complexity of removing them. They are designed for the CLK 208, and backed by PIAA. However, if you are thinking of replacing your Xenon's don't do it..

H7

Thanks. Mine will be only for low/high beam. I will not touch the fog lights. But my brother told me the H7s will last less than a year, for sure. (the PIAAs. He also tried the ones from Korea but had more problems and shorter lifespan). Once they go out, I think I'll put the original back. Hope for the best.

You can't do the day running/lows they are a seperate bulb. There are two bulbs in the high beam housing. There is the little one that comes on with the lights, and the H7 that is used for the high beams. Two seperate bulbs. PIAA doesn't make a running (little) lamp.

Got the H7's in.

I got the PIAA H7 lights in last week. Put them in my 02' C230K coupe. No problems found. These were to replace the low-beam lights. I shut off the 20% power daytime feature to possibly get a longer life span. We shal see how long they last. PS.. There isn't a huge difference between using the PIAA's and the standard bulb's. The light is a bit whiter but not brighter.

I had put mine on last weekend as well. So far, so good. You're right that it's not any brighter but whiter. Hope they'd last longer than I expected.
