Guys,

I am replacing the current setup on my 02' CLK 430, again. Have H&R and Koni, but its time for a change. Not doing their job anymore.

Also, had the pads replaced by the dealer about 3k miles ago, and now need to replace pads / rotors.

That being said, what is the best springs/shock and pads/rotors setup that won't cost me an arm and a leg. I was thinking Brembos big brake kit, but I am not keeping the car long enough to justify. SO? Any thoughts?

Why not go for the C32 brakes? They're Brembos for a lot less money. As for the spring/shock thing. I've been happy with my Koni/Eibach setup. What exactly don't you like about your current setup? Not stiff enough? Too stiff? You should try having your Koni's adjusted to either make the ride stiffer or softer. If you want to improve handling further, get the Eibach sway bars.

Hey Josh,

I noticed on your sig you have the "Brembo/AMG" brakes. Is that the C32 setup you are referring to? How does this compare to the stock CLK430 setup? I only have the Goodrich SS brake lines and am wondering if this is an improvement? What do they cost and where do you suggest obtaining the setup?

Thanks!

I get a lot of play out of the front end. Seems that the pitch and roll have increase, dramatically.

I suggest you adjust your konis, no need to spend more money.
As for the C32 brake setup you can get it at www.autowerksdirect.com
