lowest possible price for 430
What is the market value on a high-mileage (75-100K) 99 clk430.
difference in kbb and and edmunds.com values is over $8,000??!!
kbb's trade-in value for a 99 clk430 w/80,000 miles is around $15,000, edmunds trade-in is over $23,000 for the exact same car. Anyone with experience please help. TIA

Unless you're a dealer, you should be looking at retail or private-sale values, not trade-in values. If anybody sold their car at trade-in, that'd be a huge mistake.

Ethan is correct. If your buying your car from a person that isnt an authorized user car dealer then you should be looking at the "private party value". If your buying from a dealer, look at retail value. Trade in value is what you expect to get if you were trading in your car to a dealer for another car...

I'd look at nada.com to get real values on vehicles. Most of the time the others aren't giving realistic figures. Most banks, in my area, use nada to determine values as well.
Good luck, and good choice!
