I am considering getting that same display with the navigation unit and realtime traffic updates...they're asking $3k installed.

Oh yeah, wouldn't it have been better to move the MB radio to the DIN where the display is, and put the display 1 higher? This way you can still access your radio/cd/phone etc without it being blocked by the display (although your climate control will be blocked more then.)

this unit plust the brain i paid over 2gz and navigiation unit itself cost about another 2g

Does the tv tuner play while you're driving? I read somewhere that said that the navigation/DVD unit won't play DVDs while the car is in motion. Can someone confirm?

So while driving if all it is is a navigation system, what are the cops going to say?

The nav system I asked about was the Pioneer AVIC-9DVD with AVIC-7300 display and they quoted $2,700 installed. I also asked for the CUE unit (realtime traffic/weather/etc.) which they quoted for ~$300 more, so $3k for everything installed.

if its nav its on then its ok its not illegal if its tv then its distraction so its illegal
yeah its just some stupid laws

legally when u get the tv installed or the dvd its not suppost to wirk intill the car is stopped i think they do it with the parking brake

it doesnt go on if your parking brakes are off

however most places care less for such things

me i hardly ever watch it when im driving only like durring red lights or heavy traffics

How did you connect the audio coming from the Pioneer unit to the speakers of the car? What mode is your MB Head unit in when the Pioneer unit is on? Thanks.......

I'm using an FM modulator (as of now) for the DVD audio.

For the NAV audio, it has its own speaker and the unit mutes the radio if it's on.

I have a 2002 CLK Cabrio with the Command System. Does anyone know of a DVD/TV system that I can interface with the Command System? Do I need to remove the Command System and start over?

how is the tv reception w/ the pioneer tv tuner? i have alpine system but didnt get the alpine tv tuner cause it gets really crappy reception. it wasnt worth the money. i got the mobile vcr instead.

i put int tv tunner too but the reception sucked i was getiing like 13 channels which 10 out of 13 was in spanish and i dont even speak any spanish

so i took it out

word is the pioneer will make a better tunner by this summer so we see
