Convertible top hydraulic pump bleeding
I am replacing the hydraulic pump on my 02 430 Cabriolet and will need to change and add new fluid. Is the hydraulic pump for the convertible top and roll bar self bleeding or is there a manual valve? Also, are there any other little trucks worth knowing? Thank you in advance for your assistance, I appreciate it. """GumpY"""

The hydraulic system will self bleed during a couple of power roof operations.
If you're not getting your pump rebuilt by Top Hydraulics and are buying a used unit, make sure you get the correct one.
Sellers usually claim the pump offered is for all CLKs, 1998 - 2003, However, MB made a number of power roof upgrades in MY 2001.
As example, early production pumps used 7 flow control solenoids, where later production units only use 5 solenoids.

Thank you, Serindipty....
I am going to have the original rebuilt and then keep it as a back up spare. it seems "Her Higness" can just about wearout a pump on her shopping trips, but damn does she love that car...
