Alarm going off while towing the CLK
I moved to chicago this weekend and u hauled my stuff and CLK 430 (4 wheels off the ground via autotransport). I pushed the dash button with the tow truck symbol on it and everything, but the CLK's factory alarm (which I've never heard until this weekend) went off and lights were flashing!
The sounds went off in about 20 seconds, but short of pulling over and hitting the door unlock button on my keys, I couldn't keep that alarm from going off! It only seems to go off when I go over a bump or take off from a red light (The U Haul truck was a loud Ford F350 front cab).
Not that I would tow this car again, but if I did, what can I do to avoid the embarrassment of having a mercedes screaming and flashing while sitting on a tow transport? (other than to disconnect the battery)
