shift flare between 2nd and 3rd, 722.6, w 208 1998
hello
i've already searched forums for similar problem but found nothing that exactly describes my problem
hope you guys can help
as i mentioned above, shift flares between 2nd and 3rd
when cold, flare is almost unnoticable
describin exactly what happens :
1.if i push accelerator pedal further rpm increases and after may be like second later shifts into 3rd, it feels like something kicked in tranny, sometimes when drag accelerating from first gear, it shifts normally
2. when flare occurs. if i let go pedal it shifts without kicking
3.sometimes kicks before almost stopping car
as far as i searched topic, problems might be :
1. infamous transmission connector adapter o ring leak
2.broken pressure regulator spring
3.defective solenoid
4.valve body- shift pistons
5.torque converter
have you guys experienced similar problem, know solution or can help narrow down a list?

i did not, i think its last thing to check, because if its contamined, cold or hot oil will not make difference, yet it makes. still, if you think it can make flare only in 2-3 ill definitely check it and update here
i think problem is 2-3 overlap control valve sleeve, according to simptoms. im not mechanic guy thats why i need your help guys

Kiss_ Keep it simple s***id.
I would start with a fluid flush and filter renew. make sure the fluid is not contaminated.
It is possible the clutch pack has worn beyond the capability of shift valve regulation.
Have you tried to reset the transmission adaptive strategy? It changes the shift timing.
These cars get poor shift quality after idling from red light to red light.
