CLK55 Front Brake DOWNGRADE?
Yeah I know it sounds funny, but I want to downgrade my CLK55 front brakes! I am building a dedicated drag race car using the beater CLK55 that I picked up for $850.
I really want to run the forged 16" CLK320 wheels all the way around, but they won't clear the front brakes. I'm thinking about putting a set of stock CLK320 calipers and rotors up front. Can someone confirm that I would just need to swap calipers, brackets, and rotors? It looks like the hubs are the same between the 320 and the 55 so it should just be the brake parts, right?

I thought I'd close the loop on this and confirm that yes, you can put CLK320/430 calipers on CLK55 spindles! I shaved about 70lb off the front by doing this and swapping to the CLK320 wheels.
