Can't Enter Code Into Radio
I have a 2002 SLK 230 and recently my battery died so I had to replace it. The radio was asking for the code of course when I installed the new battery and I tried remembering the code by heart which was a mistake because I got it wrong three times and now the display says "WAIT". According to the manual this is supposed to go off after 10 mins and give me another chance to enter the code but no luck - it just stays on WAIT for hours. Any suggestions?

Disconnect battery.
Try disconnecting and then connecting the battery again, this will usually reset the system. You should then be able to enter the code.

LOL, have the same problem before. What you do is just turn on the radio overnight. Just leave it on and shut ur engine for a day or so. Mines ask for the code again the very next day. Save ur trip to the dealer because they told me the same thing as I do to you.
