One way M112 contamination - I'm stuck
Hi everyone,
Long time lurker; rarely a poster but I'm stuck and need some ideas.
have a 1999 CLK320 with the M112 no oil cooler attached to my oil filter housing.
I had milkshake in the motor but no oil in the coolant. I was throwing drivability codes. Oil went from normal level to overfull while I lost coolant level. So.... I pulled the heads and found at least one potential source of burning coolant, had the heads milled, and put it all back together. I did not deck the block but there was so little deflection in the heads it seemed silly.
Upon reassembly, the codes cleared up; car runs well; all seems normal, but I'm definitely still contaminating.
Fluid is mixing in one direction only; high pressure coolant to low pressure oil. I also found that a round gasket wedged between the same cylinders as some other apparent head gasket failed M112 owners. (https://mbworld.org/forums/attachmen...s-ptdc0067.jpg)
Any ideas? I feel good about the head gaskets, reassembly, and materials used. Where else could this thing be contaminating from?

I had a friend that worked on one last year and I thought I remember o rings between the block and front cover that sealed coolant. I don't know that for sure it was just quick look and not studying it very well.
