Post Need an opinion on CLK55 rear wheels

Hi family,

When I got my CLK55, it had MOMO winter pro 17 (17x7") wheels and I never changed them.

Problem is with OEM tires sizes 245/40/17, car's rear end body is wider than wheels. What are my options if I want to keep the wheels? what are max tires I can get? or maybe some not aggressive spacers?

For the 245/40-17 rubber the car calls for, you need an 8.5 in rim in the back, a 7 is downright unsafe for what a CLK55 can do if you push it.

Take a look at all of the wheel size and offsests for the W208 chassis here.
