03 CLK320 A/C Problem
I have a 2003 CLK320 and from the time I start the car until the A/C engages and begins cooling is about 5 minutes, whether the car is idling or at speed. Does anybody know how to address this issue? Thanks in advance.

I understand what you're looking for however, the problem is that the compressor doesn't even attempt to engage for several minutes after it is called for. After several minutes the compressor will start and the pressures normalize, and the car cools well. I just can't figure out why there is no compressor call for the first several minutes. It's almost like the car is waiting for something before it will allow the a/c to start. Thermostat/engine temperature? IDK.

Out Of Control!!
You have used up all the free stuff with no solution. Now you can sell the car or find someone with the proper diagnostics to determine the failure(XDOS)

SILVER03CLK320 .....The A/C control module (N22), has the above built in self test capabilities, that provides both system values as well as diagnostic trouble codes.

Serndipity,
Thank you for your previous input, however, it seems that I have a newer and digital version in the 03 CLK320. Do you have similar info for the model I have?

The self test/diagnostic procedures I posted would be valid for W208 CLK coupes through MY 2002 and CLK cabriolets through MY 2003
Is your 03 CLK320 a coupe or cabriolet?
If it's a coupe, it's a W209 model and would be covered here: https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class-w209-43/
