Smelly brakes

Forgot to add that I’m smelling a burnt like smell by my wheels, I’m thinking this is the black zinc coating that was applied? Or just new brake smell? Or?

It WAS the zinc coating on the rotors...(whew)....knew it was something stupid, lesson learned.

Now I have a new one for you Guru.....doing an entire face lift on my interior. W-208 CLK-320, Cabriolet I have to remove my lighter to have my burl-wood matched,....(sending in ashtray for match). I pull ashtray, see single screw on drivers side easy...but can not find the passenger side? Would it be easier to pull the passengers side Burl-wood?

Im also trying with NO success to find original mats that have the CLK logo embroidered....

if if you have any idea as well...let me know and thanks for helping me with the brakes.

You will have to pull out the door panel, you will find four spring lock clips that holds the Burl-wood, remove them, then you can pull it out easily,,

*Remove the door panel:-

*Remove the Burl-wood:-
