2 Braking Malfunctions - WTF?

2 Braking Malfunctions - WTF?
I had no CLk430 stored almost all winter and for whatever reason the battery went dead. So I removed it, charged it up and when I started it up, it says there are 2 braking malfunctions. They are the ABS System and the Brake Assist. WTF is this about? Could it be something from unhooking the battery? Is it safe to drive?

This is completely normal when the battery has been disconnected.
Here's how to reset it:
1. Start the car.
2. When the malfunctions pop up, turn the wheel all the way to the left (turn to lock). Hold in this position briefly, and then turn it all the way to the right (turn to lock) and hold it briefly.
3. The malfunctions should disappear.
