Hard to shift out of park
I read some threads that suggest the brake switch is bad but if so would the brake lights still work? I can shift mine out but having to push harder and harder on the brake pedal.
I did test and brake lights are on but can't shift out of park but if I stomp on the pedal it seems to work ..

When they go the brake lights do not work either, but then again I forgot if it's a two wire or three wire connector and it may work in stages if its three wires. Regardless It's an easy and cheap fix, sounds like it might be on the way out anyway, just replace it. 15 minutes and $20 dollars or so for the part.
BTW if you get stuck do you know how to stick the pencil in to release it out of P?
