Stupid questionz

I bought my CLK55 01 back in Sep, 03 with 23k miles, I havent done any type of service on it yet. The reason was because my dealership told me to do oil change every 10k and decided to wait til it hits 33k but recently a good friend of mine told me I should just do it every 3k.

After checking onboard computer, it showing Service A (tune-up) is due in about 2k miles. My question is am I suppose to do oil change now or should I wait 2k more and do tune-up?

If I choose not to go back MB dealership for basic services (brake pads/oil change/tune-up), will that voil out my warranty in any way?

Thanks in advance~

Your onboard computer will "countdown" automatically.... I don't remember exactly but I think it will change to "service in 10 days and then 9 days and so on". Of course you can bring in your car early and it is your choice.....

If you want to keep the warranty, I guess you better bring in your car to the dealer for maintenance and services because they may say this to you when you car has problems, "since you didn't bring in the car for maintenance and didn't use 'geniue" MB parts, so the warranty is voided...."

I doubt it, but you'd be wasting your money as services are included during the initial warranty period.

Check the oil.....if it looks okay, wait the 2K miles and let MB pick up the tab for your service. Then, have the oil and filter changed every 5K miles regardless of what the FSS says.
