window goes up and down
My drivers side window goes up and down when I use the auto button. It doesnt happen all time.. maybe 20 times a week. I have taken my clk into the MB shop 6 (yes SIX) times to fix this stupid problem. Does anyone know the cause of this problem.... something I can tell them to fix that will make this stop.

this is a known issue with w208 cars
with the express up / down windows.
To date I've had six repairs since Fall 2001:
(2) control modules
(1) driver's p/w motor
(1) driver's window regulator
(1) pass. p/w motor
(1) pass. window regulator
plus a couple of trips to re-synch (after trying multiple times per the manual with no results), only to return a couple of weeks later because the windows failed.
Once on a 90+* day I was driving with both windows all the way down and when I tried to put the windows up to park the car they were completely dead! Cycling the ignition off/on brought them back, but the express up/down didn't work after that.
Now, on occasions the pass. side will do the drop after express close, but will work on the 2nd attempt. I'm due for a B-service in a couple of months, so I'll have it looked at then...
The p/w system on the w208 leaves much to be desired - I've spoken with a tech (Beschoff - San Jose) at another dealership and there seems to be no consensus why so many failures.
He even mentioned that some of the w208 cars don't have both express up & down feature (not consistent year to year)
I'm just glad I've got the extended warranty - I'll probably get my $$$ worth just by having the window problems fixed again & again & again &...
I've noticed mine tend to fail during really hot or cold spells.
