'99 clk430 flashing fuel, P0455, filling clicks off.
Hi Folks,
I have W208, '99 clk430 w/115K miles. I noticed when filling up, the pump clicks off regularly. A few months later, the fuel light started flashing after 40 Miles. Then the check engine light gave me a P0455.
I replaced the gas cap with an OEM, turned the code off. However, after about 40- 50 miles, the fuel light flashes and P0455 comes back.
From what I'm reading prob is either the EVAP solenoid, canister or purge valve.
Given the conditions, does anyone have experience with this trouble?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Your gasoline tank isn’t venting properly.

Note: Some of the archived thumbnails don't open when clicked on. If that happens, right click on the thumbnail and select 'open in another tab' in the drop-down window.
Here are some links that explains the P0455 code.

Note:The P0455 code is somewhat misleading because the problem may not be a large/gross leak at all, because the code will trigger if there is no EVAP flow detected.
