Unhappy Bouncing Passenger Window

Anyone had the problem where the drivers side or passanger window bounces when putting it all the way up or down. I have taken it to the dealer twice and they say they can't find anything wrong. Any one have comments or opinions on this?

What do you mean by bouncing? Are you referring to when the window closes and then reopens about 3" down?

Bouncing

It stutters. Like when I put the window all the way up. and then use the automatic let down so the windo goes all the way down, at about half way the window bounces or stutters or jerks and then goes down all the way.

I have had this problem before too. I think its due to the window not being clean. Not really sure but thats the only conclusion I can come up with.

I have also found that if the windows are cleaned, inside and out, they are much smoother.

A bouncing widow simply means it bounces on the way up but still goes up. This can be corected by window cleanleness. I recommend applying a wax such as meguiars mirror glaze. If you get the window too clean however it will still grab the seals and bounce. I recommend using a lube after the window is clean such as a powdered graphite near the edges of the window (not in the viewing surface of the window). A complaint where the window goes back down ofter using the express up feature is different. An MB dealer should be able to recitify this situation. The problem was caused by DCM (door control modlue) issues. The DCM's were not reading the window position correctly. There are fixes for this problem that can be performed using the SDS at a Mercedes Dealer. I hope this can help you fix you problem.

Interestingly, my window did that exactly twice....after I purchased the vehicle.

I thought I was just doing something wrong....so I kept trying.

After about 4 tries...it worked properly....and i haven't had a problem since then.....this was 3 months ago.
