CLK430 "Sport Suspension"?
I'm shopping online for suspension parts for my 2000 CLK430 (upper control arms for one) and some of them indicate they're "For models with sport suspension". How do we know if we have the sport suspension?

Pre-2000, the W208 came in 2 variants. The Sport and Elegance.
From 2000 onwards, they changed the sport to Avantgarde.
So is your CLK430 an avantgarde or Elegance variant?
If it's an Avantgarde, then you have the sport suspension. If Elegance, you don't.

Thanks Ahmed, unfortunately I can't find any documentation that mentions anything about Avantgarde or Elegance. Maybe those options weren't offered in the US.. I do have the "AMG Sport Package" though. Maybe that means I have the Sport Suspension.

mheffel.......the terms Avantgarde and Elegance were not used in the U.S. ..
Go to the below site, enter your VIN and you'll get the details for your vehicle build.
https://www.datamb.com/
Alternatively, the parts department of a MB dealership, can give you the part number required for your VIN.
I just replaced the lower and upper control arms, bushings, ball joints on both sides and the car drives like new again.

Serndipity, Ahmed, I checked out the datamb website and got the info for my vehicle. It lists I have code 954 - EQUIPMENT PACKAGE FOR AVANTGARDE VEHICLES, so I guess I have the sport suspension.
My car has over 230,000 miles on the original suspension bushings, so I'm looking forward to getting it updated. It wanders a lot going down the road now.
Thanks
