Ok,Clifflee
Mercedes cars are some of the safest cars made. Mercedes has pioneered many many safety developements. I remember when Volvo was advertising there new seat belt tensioners, at the same time they were advertising we had already had them in our 85 300TD wagon for years (off topic but I think Volvo is over rated for there safety, and Mercedes is underated for there safety).
It looks like you may be able to get the wheels off have you tried? There does not seem to be any dammage to them.
Subman
whether the TELEAID feature called for/summoned help automatically in this 30mph crash, - or does one get double punished for not wearing a seatbelt?
If help was summoned via TELEAID, then MB has all details re this accident.
You are absolutely right John. Ive had my share of accidents (albeit not with this clk) so i consider myself a safe driver. Not necessarily smart cause i seldom use the seatbelt in the city or local roads. This has definitely taught me another lesson.
Pigman:
What do u mean crappy clk55 market? Are they hard to sell or did you mean the economy in general is a mess so clk55's are being sold at more of a bargain coupled with he fact that the new clk is coming out as well?
Karl:
No a passenger from another car drove by and was kind enough to call 911. The teleaid did not activate automaticaly and i did not use it at all. I figured the phone would be faster. So had that person not called the police or ambulance i would have on my own by phone.

Ive been pondering over this for the whole week. I asked a mercedes guy why the airbags didnt depoly and he told me certain angles dont activate it. Supposedly there are sensors in certain areas and depending on where i hit the airbags will or will not deploy. In this case, i find it ridiculous that it didnt deploy. I meant what the hell does it take? The car is completely crushed from the front. I was told by the auto body repair guy that sueing will not get you jack cause there are alot of cases like this and none of them have been successful. What is everyones take on it? I suppose i cant sue unless i was permanently disabled because of the failure of the airbag to deploy. And since i am not there is no grounds for a sue. Heres another pic.
correct me if im wrong
ps
sorry man i really feel your pain
i been there with a S class
