can m113 exhaust manifolds be flipped upside down?
a common shortcut for routing turbos in american cars is to try flipping the exhaust manifolds upside down. does anyone know if this would work on m113 benz engines? basically the end of the manifold would exit towards the front, for easier turbo manifold piping
just brainstorming some ideas

Did this actually end up being true? I am looking at putting twin turbos on my e500 and was curious if this was a possible solution. Did you or someone you know end up using this to mount turbos?
Thanks!

I have two m113’s in my garage right now on engine stands, I can send photos if needed
yes the manifolds can be flipped around, but depending on your chassis, your engine accessories(abc pump takes up a lot more room than a standard steering pump for example), and engine bay layout, you will have to cut off the oem exhaust manifold outlet and redesign the exit angle. On almost all m113 setups, you’re going to hit things like the steering pump or alternator if you tried to use the stock manifolds as-is
