Improving Exhaust Note
Hello World,
Looking for some advice or suggestions for the exhaust on my CLK320 1999 Cab, YEA YEA I know it's only a V6, and missing 2 cylinders of an EIGHT and will never sound like one.:smash. LOL
I also own a 5lt Ford V8 with an awesome note...
The massive rear muffler is just so dam quite ... I would love to give this girl some personality of her own....
Could any one let me know if there is any risks of fault codes if I replace the "massive" deadening box with a sports /Performance type muffler ..
I am also running a K&N air filter which has made a wonderfull difference to the motor .....runs smoother a appears to have helped throttle response ..YEA

Cool thanks for the info, I am using K&N's in all my other cars, including a HI Perf V8, and my Sr 6 also Hi Perf... I have all one in my wife Suzuki Grand Vitara V6 and it runs like a "top"...... For the un experienced ... YEP you are right re the MAF's
However ... do NOT over oil the filter and allow the oil to dry completely normally 12/24 hours (depending on weather Temp)
Before re installing.... and no problems ....
