I was changing my O2 sensor the other day and got my first good look at under the car. The car actually has a perfect setup for a true dual exhaust, it's two seperate pipes from the headers back. WHY did mb make the car a single exhaust? I think I'm going to convert mine to a dual, does anyone have a guess as to how much hp I will gain? I plan on using 2 Eisenmann race mufflers (think it will be too loud?).

there may be space to run the pipes... but you have not place to put your second exhaust/muffler...

you'd have to do some bodywork to the right side of the spare wheel well...

i have the race exhaust now and its pretty loud @ 4000 rpm +

We had a dual exhaust put on the 430. We had to move the battery into the spare tire well though. Can' say much about hp gains, but it sure looked nice.

I assume you had to take the spare tire out right? What kind of mufflers did you use?
