how to recover my stero code?
Hi all, i had to disconnect the battery and now I need the code for my crappy stereo. Is this something I can get through the dealer with my vin#? as I don't have the code. Thanks

I'm guessing you'll need to pull the stereo out and give them a serial number to get the code. If somebody has been in there previously, you may find the code written on the stereo

Do you have a Mercedes dealer nearby? If so go to the dealer with the VIN and proof of ownership, your title, and go to the parts department. Mercedes has computer records of all those numbers and will be happy to provide it to you once you show them you own the car. Record the number in the owner's manual, and maybe on a piece of tape attached to the radio. Follow the instructions in the owner's manual for inputting it into the radio to reactivate it.

Thanks all. I called the dealer and gave them the last 7 digits of my VIN and they gave me the code. however the code did not work and it looks like I will have to pull the unit and get the serial# off of it.
