More Loose???
anyone have the same problem or am i going out of my mind??
ps- If that doesn't work then it's time for a new wife hehe
Perhaps an SL500?
but boy is that sl beautiful....heard that the sl500 is a little underpowered....hopefully they'll come out with the 550 pretty soon.....and HOPEFULLY it won't cost an arm and a leg like the sl55.....currently it looks like the 55 will be priced at 127,000....thats a little more expensive than a 911 turbo....
Take a turn around corners with any lexus or Caddy then you will appreciate your CLK much more. Treat your CLK as if it was your wife. She's beautiful and smokingly hot when you first married her then 3 or 4 years down the stretch she gains weight, develops visible stretch marks, starts nagging about everything but yet in the end run you still love her .

We stopped by the local MBZ dealer where she even engaged the salesperson in conversation regarding the new SL on the floor... The SL 55 now has official "spousal approval". I'll let you guys in on a secret and credo of mine... NEVER marry a woman who makes less than you or if she needs your support while going through school, make sure she's studying a curriculum that PAYS in the end. I had the latter option, invested well and now reap the bennies...NO HANDS IN MY WALLET!! You've been warned)
LOL!! You younger guys have your work cut out for you! Choose wisely.

As for the car (sorry, got carried away with the wife...) My '01 CLK 55 is still tight as a drum and I drive it hard. (No burn outs and I still get only 8,000 miles, max on my Pilots Sports. On par with the tire wear I get on my equally hard driven 911.) The roads in the bay area aren't exactly what I call "smooth"( In fact, they suck) and the car feels and sounds fine. I'm sorry your CLK doesn't exhibit the same qualities. Hopefully you'll be happier in your next one.

Good luck and keep your eyes open. Okay, back on topic; SL55! SL55!! Sl55!!! Got a call a few minutes ago from my one of my best buddies and coincidentally the sales manager of my MBZ dealer...Gonna test drive a "plain vanilla" SL 500 soon. Yum.
Brian's suggestions: Marrying rich and/or helping a spouse or furture spouse to get an education in a profession that pays well is good advice. However I also belief, that outside fixes will NEVER fix an inner void.
Having said that, a wise man said:
Save your money while you are young, so that you can afford the young when you are old.
...ponderous & ponderable...
What you said is very true. Outside fixes in ANY amount will never fix an inner void. I was witness to many years of examples of "outside fixes" and their ultimate failure.... With that under my belt, I can honestly say that I suffer from no such affliction....I'm lovin' life with the wife!! and it's been a great seventeen years. Lookin' forward to the next seventeen.
Ah, yes...Picture this:A beautiful sunny spring day, the SL55, top down, the sweet sound and fury of 500 horsepower, wifey at my side, the German countryside, THE AUTOBAHN!!!!..... MBZ better have Euro delivery on this car or I'll be REAL pi$$ed!!!
I'm sure that the new SL AMG is not going to disappoint you while driving through the beautiful countryside of the Black Forest and doing 200 mph + on the Autobum. Be prepared to pay around $5.- for a gal. of gas.
When are you going to get this 500 HP beast? Sept./Oct. to make Oktoberfest in Muenchen?
PS:
As a hedge fund manager, were you ever asked: Is it possible for the US markets to parallel the 13 year Japanese downslide?
The talking heasds on CNBC never get this question, nor do they ever say: SELL!
When I tell people what I do for a living, my analogy of their reaction is the equivilant of betting on the "Don't pass line" at a crap table. You can also imagine how unpopular I can be during ****tail party discussions.
Though it also helps that I was a futures specialist for twelve years prior to matriculating to the hedge fund business. Going short was a way of life and selling "mom and apple pie"(another criticism I endure...Especially when I sold MSFT short.) is part of the game....As far as the "beast" is concerned, the test drive will give me an insight of how soon I should start my serious drooling....
I don't think it will be physically possible to take delivery as soon as you mentioned. My pal at the dealership says the AMG versions usually are the last to make it onto the Euro delivery roster.
