Hello W208 crew. Dave here. Long time lurker, first time poster.

I want to replace the burl wood trim surrounds on my seat adjuster controls, but I don't want to pay the new OEM pricing. Are there aftermarket options? I found injection molded fake wood kits for my B5.5 Passat several years ago and they were amazingly good quality and matched the OEM stuff.

I'm not opposed to originals, but they may be delaminated and cracked like mine. I am in need of the drivers side most of all (208 720 0348)

Any guidance is welcome and appreciated. Thanks, Dave

 

I not sure you'll be able to find "other" types. The wood grain pieces are expensive, best bet would be eBay or your local bone yards.

Now if I could find a decent uncracked dash...

 

There's a couple on fleabay and the prices ranges from 70.00 and up.

 

Can't help you on the wood but you've got a nice car color there.
