TWO CD magazines for the price of ONE?
Well, - almost.
The MB dealer charges $25 for ONE 6-Disc changer magazine.
Alpine is the Manufacturer of the CD changer in recent model MB cars - I believe from '98 on.
So I went to Sound Advice, an aftermarket audio source. I bought the package with TWO magazines:
Alpine KAE-216C for $29.95.
Additional discovery:
Was amazed, that the CDs titled previously are stored in the memory of the Command system. Those titles showed up on the Command CD title screen.

I don't think they are actually stored. Most CDs have the Title, Artist, and Tracks all listed on the CD. The Command probably just reads it. When I burn a CD, I can do the same, and then have certain CD players, probably including command, display whatever I wrote.

The Command has its own CD titling feature.
I was referring to CDs titled (approx. 12 characters max.) with the Command system.
This Cd naming/titling feature is explained in the Command operator's manual on page 57.
If you do not use this feature, the command module screen only refers to the CDs by numbers, 1 thru 6 plus 0.
The CD naming just adds more meaning to these CD numbers.
It certainly would be a welcome feature, if the CD info that you are referring to - CD Title, Artist -, could be displayed on the command screen without the effort of entering one letter at a time, which is, to put it positively: Challenging...
